Four years ago when I got this crazy idea to
start a golf outing, little did I know that it would grow into
an annual tradition. Through
your generosity and participation, we have raised over $10,000. Thank
you very much for all who participated in our annual golf outing. It
is a great opportunity to play golf and raise money for our Foundation. We
had 81 players who showed up on a beautiful day on the shores of
Lake Michigan to play Squires Country Club for the final time. I
like to think we gave her a good send off into the nature sanctuary
that it is destined to become. Thank you Bruce and Bonnie
Bloemer for hosting us the last two years.
The staff at Cedarburg Physical Therapy once again worked tirelessly
to put this event together. Although Kristina is not a golfer,
she was thrust into the mania that is our outing. Thank you
also to Renee for the web site development and Kenny for your just
being Kenny.
We also need to thank all of our hole
sponsors, personal donations, auction donors and bidders. Everyone
was very generous with their donations to the auction and outing. Please
patronize these businesses and thank them for helping us out with
this great event. There were so many people that contributed
their time and money to our event, thank you everyone. A
special thanks to the Reid family for donating the Miller Lite
for the ninth hole shootout. I am not sure how much beer
was left after all of our groups had gone through the ninth hole,
but it seems like 15 cases should last a little longer.
Not to forget a thank you as well to the Cedarburg Physical Therapy
Foundation Board of Directors; Ryan Olsen, Terry Litz, and Kathy
Rossiter for your efforts this year in organizing our fundraising
and donation efforts. Thank you also to Kathy Rossiter for volunteering
to help out and spending the day with us even though you do not
golf.
Congratulations are in order to Team Wagner on their dominating
win. Terry Wagner, Jeff Van Straten, Gene Sprenger, and Rick
Herron were the winners of this year’s event. They
are the first repeat winners of the event. The trophy is
engraved and displayed proudly at CPT’s front desk. They
will have the honor and distinction of being champions for an entire
year.I kid you not, The Bog will be a stiff test next year
and several teams look to be in the hunt for the coveted trophy.
As for next year, we say goodbye to Squires and turn our attention
to The Bog in Saukville. We will continue to be appreciative
of anyone who donates to our organization and our causeand
will try to improve your golf experience (probably not your golf
game unfortunately) in the years to come. Our ultimate goal
is to gather, have fun and raise money for a good cause. With
a lofty but attainable goal of 100 participants, we will need your
help to ensure a good turn out and raise enough money to make a
difference.
On behalf of the staff at Cedarburg Physical Therapy, thank you
again. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
