Year five is in the books for the Cedarburg Physical Therapy Foundation
Golf Outing. I can say with resounding vigor that it was
a huge success. To think that in these terrible economic
times, we were able to raise $4800 at our little event is amazing. I
think it speaks volumes to the participation and generosity of
our many friends of Cedarburg Physical Therapy. To date, that pushes
us very near $15,000 raised in our five years. Thank you
very much for all who participated. It is a great opportunity
to play golf and raise money for our Foundation. CPTF donated
$2400 to the Cedarburg Education Foundation and $2500 to the Cedarburg-Grafton
Rotary Scholarship Fund. We did all of this with 53 players
who showed up on another perfect day to play golf. I feel
quite lucky to be blessed with great weather every year. The
Bog was an awesome host this year and lived up to the high standards
it has set as Southeast Wisconsin’s premier daily fee golf
course. I think everyone will agree that the food was second
to none and the organization and timing of the event provided a
low pressure relaxed day for us to enjoy.
The staff at Cedarburg Physical Therapy once
again worked tirelessly to put this event together. The
number of “volunteer” hours that our staff provides
is a reflection on their character and I can’t thank
them enough. I also have to give a special send off
thank you to Kenny, my friend and colleague for the last
5 years. We wish you well Kenny and thank you for helping
to build the Cedarburg Physical Therapy name. Kenny
is now the Director of Athletic Training at UW-Parkside.

We also need to thank all of our hole
sponsors, personal donations, auction donors and bidders. Everyone
was very generous with their donations to the auction and outing. Please
patronize these businesses and thank them for helping us out
with this great event. There were so many people that
contributed their time and money to our event, thank you everyone. A
special thank you to Cornerstone Community Bank of Grafton and
Paul Foy who once again sponsored our $10,000 hole in one contest
which I wish someone would please win next year.
Not to forget a thank you as well to the Cedarburg Physical Therapy
Foundation Board of Directors; Ryan Olsen, Terry Litz, and Kathy
Rossiter for your efforts this year in organizing our fundraising
and donation efforts.
On to the Grand Champions of the tournament…….. Finally,
finally, finally after years of being bridesmaids, Ryan Olsen and
Chris Roethel managed to stack their team with Brian Thill and
Matt Meyer to win the trophy. Of course guys, it did help
that Terry, Jeff and Rick didn’t field a team to defend their
title. The trophy is engraved with your names (finally) and
displayed proudly at CPT’s front desk.
As for next year, our date has not yet been determined and we will
keep you posted as we move to year six. We will continue
to be appreciative of anyone who donates to our organization and
our cause. Our ultimate goal is to gather, have fun and raise
money for a good cause. On behalf of the staff at Cedarburg
Physical Therapy, thank you again. We look forward to seeing you
in the near future.
